01 Fund care that lasts a workday
A free seat that ends at 2:30 and shuts for the summer isn’t free — it’s a bill for after-care and camp. Fund the whole day and the whole year.
02 Make free 3-K real outside New York City
A kid in Buffalo shouldn’t have worse odds than a kid in Brooklyn. We won the statewide Pre-K guarantee — now finish the job on
3-K.
03 Make 2-K funding permanent
Parents won the first 2-K seats in New York history. Fund them for good, so we’re not back fighting for the same seats next spring.
04 Pay the workforce a living wage
The people who care for our kids can’t afford care for their own. Poverty wages drive good teachers out, and an empty classroom helps nobody.
05 Get to universal child care
Free care for every kid, birth to five. Same idea as public school — and nobody means-tests that.
