  • In January 2026, we secured an unprecedented commitment from Governor Hochul and Mayor Mamdani to put New York on a path to universal child care

  • $470 million to expand Pre-K statewide, bringing free preschool to families beyond New York City for the first time

  • $100 million to repair the damage done to NYC's 3-K program under the previous administration

  • $500 million to launch a new program to provide free child care to 2-year-olds in NYC, with the first seats opening fall 2026

  • $60M to develop universal child care pilot programs in Dutchess, Monroe, and Broome counties.

Saved Universal 3-K in NYC

  • In 2025, we won $167 million in permanent funding for NYC 3-K after years of cuts

  • Secured more free full-day 3-K and Pre-K seats

  • Won more funding for outreach - and a promise to make sure families across the city know how to access free universal 3-K and Pre-K

Won $10M for 0-2 Year Olds
