Since taking office, Mayor Adams has made annual cuts to the city’s Universal 3-K program, leaving families in limbo. In 2024, thousands of children were waitlisted for a 3-K seat, forcing parents to scramble for expensive private options.

As parents and would-be parents, we are irate and are not satisfied with crumbs. We are asking Mayor Adams to not only restore funds to 3-K and early childhood education but also to implement 2-Care, free child care for 2 year olds.
